The Tony Elumelu Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit institution dedicated to the promotion and celebration of excellence in business leadership and entrepreneurship across Africa.

Established in 2010 by Tony O. Elumelu MFR the Foundation identifies and grooms African business leaders and entrepreneurs to achieve its central objective of meaningfully advancing Africa’s economic development and prosperity.

The Tony Elumelu Foundation seeks to contribute to the economic transformation of the African continent by working to foster and impact Africa’s business leaders and entrepreneurs at various stages of their development, from business students and young entrepreneurs to CEO’s of global corporations.

As an African based and funded institution, The Foundation provides a particularly relevant African perspective. It works to ensure that African firms are represented and professionally equipped to compete in the global mainstream of business.

In all that it does, The Tony Elumelu Foundation will be guided and supported by a committed international Advisory Board who themselves represent excellence in the African and international business worlds.

African Markets Internship Program 2012 Associate Application.

We are looking for candidates with a genuine interest in bolstering the African private sector by contributing their time and skills towards becoming entrepreneurs and business leaders on the Continent.

AMIP applications are reviewed according to application deadlines. We encourage you to apply before each application deadline to be considered for the program within each window. Candidates seeking financial assistance or specific employer/city placements are encouraged to apply early as these are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Successful candidates should expect to undergo a five-week selection process that includes interviews and exercises with TEF, TEF partners, host companies and AMIP alumni.

 Communications and Expectations

During your application cycle, candidates are expected to make time for phone or in-person interviews, as well as time to complete final round activities.

 Please provide TEF with the best phone number and email on which to reach you. Failure to respond in a timely manner will be viewed as withdrawal from the application process by the AMIP selection team.
